武汉新港新增5个对外开放港区

　　据悉，国务院今年共批准扩大开放唐山港、福州港、日照港、茂名港、武汉新港等5个一类水运口岸的11个港区，其中武汉新港范围内5个港区位列其中、占比45%。

　　武汉新港管委会主任张林介绍，水运口岸是国家在江河湖海沿岸开设的供货物和人员进出国境及船舶往来挂靠的通道，在发展区域外向型经济中具有“桥头堡”作用。今年一季度，武汉新港完成集装箱吞吐量24.01万标箱，同比增长10.7%。国务院此次批复武汉新港新增5个对外开放港区，对以武汉长江中游航运中心建设为依托，助推湖北省打造对外开放新高地、构建长江经济带重要支点具有强力推动作用。
